Workflow Email Notifications TR5 Files

In the email notification for Workflow activities it attaches a TR5 file. When you open the TR5 file it takes you to the activity in Content manager.

In the email notification for Actions/Procedures it attaches a TR5 file that when opened takes you to the document in CM9.

Is it possible to change the workflow email notification TR5 file to take you to the document the workflow is attached to instead of the activity in CM9.

Re: Workflow Email Notifications TR5 Files

I don't believe it is possible to change the workflow TR5 to go to the document. This is because Actions/Procedures are record centric, which is why the TR5's link to the actual record. Workflow is process centric, there may or may not be a document/record involved.

I don't have a solution for the desktop client.

When using the Web Client you can insert a hyperlink directly to the Initiating Record into an email template.

If I'm reading the description correctly you may be able to customise a solution using this modification;

Apparently it will convert a record url into a Tr5 that the user can use to navigate to the record in the rich client.
