<(CM) Support tip> - "Use content indexes where possible" causes errors in 9.2 with Elasticsearch

Hi all,

There's a known issue when using the system option "Use content indexes where possible" when using Elasticsearch in CM 9.2.

If a user attempts to run a search such as Record Number or Additional Field, CM is attempting to use IDOL syntax instead of Elasticsearch syntax, and hence an error is received:

Content Manager Workgroup Server on '[WGSNAME]' reported an error. Elasticsearch
error (code 400) : Bad Request
{"error":{"root_cause":[{"type":"query_shard_exception","reason":"Failed to parse query
[*&FieldText=MATCH{90/5142}:TS_Number]","index_uuid":"qy1raSq7QKanO1lNkf5OMQ","index":"cm_92"}],"type":"search_phase_execution_exception","reason":"all shards
failed","phase":"query","grouped":true,"failed_shards":[{"shard":0,"index":"cm_92","node":"WsUk3JCDT6Gj9rhI9I_2Dg","reason":{"type":"query_shard_exception","reason":"Failed to parse query
[*&FieldText=MATCH{90/5142}:TS_Number]","index_uuid":"qy1raSq7QKanO1lNkf5OMQ","index":"cm_92","caused_by":{"type":"parse_exception","reason":"Cannot parse
'*&FieldText=MATCH{90/5142}:TS_Number': Encountered \" \"}\" \"} \"\" at line 1,
column 25.\r\nWas expecting:\r\n    \"TO\"
...\r\n    ","caused_by":{"type":"parse_exception","reason":"Encountered \" \"}\" \"} \"\"
at line 1, column 25.\r\nWas expecting:\r\n    \"TO\" ...\r\n    "}}}}]},"status":400}

This issue is being addressed in the next 9.2 patch.
