<(RM) Support tip>Overview of Default Ports used by HPE Records Manager

Below is an overview of the default ports used for connections and communication between the various elements of the RM environment.

 RM Clients / Workgroup Servers:

  • Thin Client:  80 (http) / 443 (https)
  • Thick Client/DeskTop: 1137 (primary and alternate) / 443 (https)
  • DataPort/SDK: 1137

RM Web Clients / Web Server:

  • HPE RM WebClient/WebCientClassic:  80 (http) / 443 (https)
  • ServiceAPI/WebDrawer:  80 (http) / 443 (https)

Between RM Workgroup Servers:

  • WGS to WGS: 1137
  • WGS Events: 1137
  • Enterprise Studio: 1137

RM Workgroup Server / Document Store:

  • Windows File Store: 137
  • CFS Connector Document Store: Specified in setup – no default port
  • ECM Centera Document Store: 80 (http) / 443 (https)
  • iCAS Document Store: 80 (http) / 443 (https) or 137 (used as File Store)
  • External Document Store: Specified in setup – no default port

RM Workgroup Server / Database:

  • SQL Server: 1433 (single dataset)
  • Oracle: 1521 (single dataset)

RM Workgroup Server / Web Services

  • ServiceApi: 1137 (primary) / 1138 (alternate)
  • WebClient: 1137
  • WebDrawer: 1137

RM Workgroup Server / ExchangeLink:

  • 1137
  • 1138  (alternate)
  • 443 (Exchange Web Services)

IDOL Document Content Index setup:

  • IDOL Service
    • Port=9000
    • IndexPort=9001
    • ServicePort=9002
  • Agent Store
    • ACIPort=9050
    • IndexPort=9051
    • QueryPort=9052
    • ServicePort=9053
  • Category
    • ACIPort=9020
    • ServicePort=9021
  • DAH
    • ACIPort=9060
    • ServicePort=9061
  • DIH
    • ACIPort=9070
    • IndexPort=9071
    • ServicePort=9072
  • IDOL Content Service
    • Port=9100
    • IndexPort=9101

IDOL Document Content Index setup for additional Content Services, where x is 2, 3, 4 etc depending on number of services:

  • IDOL Content Service
    • Port=9x00
    • IndexPort=9x01
    • ServicePort=9x02
