search method requires more information

I get the following message when doing a 'Title Word' search (using the word down): This search method requires more information.

This is the first time we have ever seen the message.  Does anyone have any suggestions?

Re: search method requires more information

I suspect the word "down" is in your Noise Word listing.  If you remove it from that listing, you shouldn't get that message.

As you may know, the Noise Word is a list of words that will not be indexed if they are used in record titles, notes, Thesaurus terms and Categories.  Noise Words ensure that your search lists will not be cluttered with unhelpful or forbidden terms and preserves the speed of retrieval of indexed records.

Ok - I spoke too soon.  I removed the word 'Down' from the list of noise words.  Do we have to reindex everything?

Re: search method requires more information

I believe you would have to.  Since it was originally in the Noise Word list, it was excluded from the index.
