Can DRA manage ActiveSync

Recently upgraded to DRA version 8.7 and could not find any Roles or
Powers that would manage Microsoft Exchange 2010's ActiveSync. So the
question is can Directory and Resource Administrator manage ActiveSync,
ie all certain devices, list all ActiveSync users, etc?

FYI, be gentle, I'm getting back in the game since managing DRA in 2007

I'm not 100% sure, but it doesn't look like this is supported. If you
do want need this functionality, I suggest you talk to your sales
representative and/or log an enhancement request at
http://novell.com/rms

I've confirmed that this functionality is not available in the current
release (DRA 8.7) but it is definitely on the radar for a future
release. If you have a pressing business need for this feature - I
suggest you speak to your NetIQ sales representative.

Re: Can DRA manage ActiveSync

We are currently at 8.6SP2 of DRA and would like to be able to manage
ActiveSync for Exchange 2010 with DRA 8.7. We are a small single
forest, single domain, multi agency state government agency.

Re: Can DRA manage ActiveSync

First the question is what do you mean by manage? In DRA 8.6 sp2 you
should see a node when you open the property sheet of a user called
"Mailbox Features" In this you can enable/disable ActiveSync as well as
manage active sync policies. You will see powers called "Modify All
Exchange Mailbox Features" which gives you rights over everything in the
mailbox features tab. If you go into this power and look at the
properties tab, you will see the names of the $mcs... properties which
represents parts of the activesync info. If you want to create a custom
power over just activesync, you can do so. i have done it with a
customer with 8.6 sp2

regards
sean
