Search for all objects - where is it?

Recently upgraded from NetIQ DRA 8.6 to 8.7 and noticed the *Search for
all objects* feature/option is gone, now we have to choose a specific
object:

users
groups
computers
contacts
domains
etc...

I noticed right way as did our junior administrators, we don't likey...
are we missing some check box somewhere that would bring this "made life
siimple" feature back please

Re: Search for all objects - where is it?

I know! I let fly at my NetIQ when I saw this one! I assume they removed
it to ensure searches retunr as quickly as possible but my help desk
couldn't live without it! Its back as of the latest Hotfix so apply that
😉

Re: Search for all objects - where is it?

Muszyngr,

We changed it back in 8.7 sp2 due to customer demand. we did it to help
performance in large environments but it didn't go over very well.
There is also a hotfix for 8.7 to put it back. If you installed 8.7
sp2, it will be off by default. to enable,

1. open the Delegation and configuration console
2. right click on configuration management node and select update
Administration server options
3. click on client options and you will see the checkboxes to enable
search by all object types
