5555/5565 mixing

It should be possible to run the CS in the mixed mode with the 5555 for existing clients and 5565 for new.
It is not possible for us to change port for existing clients but we want to set up the new clients with the new port number.

Hello @Aleksandr_Sviridov,

I'm not sure if this can be done because it is implemented in INET and INET is used across all clients including the Cell Manager.

I have seen many customers going forward with the old port, because changing the port is not an option. The only thing to consider is that they need to specify the INET port (5555/TCP) during the agent installation. omnisetup.sh and setup.exe have several options for that including silent installation. Also using omnicc -update_local_port 5555 is quite handy in case the wrong port was used.

We do not force the installation to use 5565 so you can just stay on 5555 if needed. There is no technical advantage in using 5565 except it is reserved for Data Protector.

Hi @UliW_MF,

I think the biggest challenge is that the local agent installation defaults to 5565 now. Remote installation and upgrades is not at problem at all.
