Automate Import of Cloud Volume Backup to Remote Cell Manager

Brief description:

HPE Cloud Volume Backup (CVB) is a service offering to directly backup data to a cloud target using deduplication, compression and encryption, It is compatible with StoreOnce Catalyst and therefore perfectly integrated into Data Protector.

When backing up on-premise data to CVB another Cell Manager in a different location (or in the cloud) could be used as a disaster recovery system. This could be done without the requirement to replicate the backup data to another StoreOnce system first.

Allow to automate the import of the backup data stored on CVB to a remote Cell Manager as a scheduled or post-backup operation similar to ARS (Automated replication synchronization). Once the backup to CVB has been completed the remote Cell Manager is instructed to import the used backup media from a CVB library.
