Brief description:
Block Based Backup (BBB) and Block Based Restore (BBR) on Windows is missing important features commonly used on Windows file servers such as:
- Support Mount Points in addition to volumes with Drive Letters assigned
- Support for ReFS (with and without Storage Spaces) in addition to NTFS
- Support for CSV (Cluster-shared volumes) on Windows scale-out clusters in addition to standard volumes
- Volumes with Windows Deduplication feature turned on
Benefit:
To make Block Based Backup more accessible to users especially with larger data sets hosted on Windows Servers and Clusters.
