Cassandra Database backup integration is needed

As of now there is no online integration for Cassandra Database backup. Like SQL, Oracle database, there should be an integration component for online Cassandra Database backup.

With the "Big Data" explosion, we are needing efficient ways to backup the Cassandra Databases.  Similar requirements exsists for the hadoop data.

Veritas is going to release Cassandra support in NetBackup in the 2019Q4. You're loosing the market!

We are planning to integrate with Cassandra (and more) throughout mid next year. Just be aware that there is no backup API in Cassandra, only a dump command. You can implement that easily with a scripts in a few hours.

Scripts are not useful enough.

Dump backup requires a proxy-storage so you should develop some mechanism to avoid it.

Nice integration should at least provide security settings and configuration management\checking.
