When using LDAP authentication, we have to log in with the user principal name, for example email@example.com.
It would be nice if users could log on with their logon name, john.doe for example.
We are aware that this would cause an issue with uniqueness, so the proposal is to have a configurable default domain, like domain1.com in this case.
Then the user could switch to the other domain by entering for example firstname.lastname@example.org.
We know this from other software and from the Windows logon and it would be nice to have this functionality also within Data Protector.
