MPIO driver support for DDBoost MA on AIX platforms

0 Votes

Please add support for MPIO driver for DDBoost on AIX platform (AIX 7.1/7.2). Data Protector 10.40 and higher.

Currently on AIX only DDfc is supported which is not enough for the  large Customers.

Hello @Ludmila Sukhova,

The concept of MPIO (multi-path I/O) is something only found in primary storage. This does not apply to Data Domain in any way I would be aware of. Can you please explain what is required exactly? Maybe with a hint to the Data Domain documentation.

Hi @Ludmila Sukhova ,

MPIO is something the OEM needs to support since it is mainly used for disk systems. Since MPIO should be transparent to overlaying services … what do you want DP to support here since it cannot even see those multiple paths.
