Object Copy to support "Latest Full"

Brief description:

While Object Copy (including Replication) is highly customizable in Data Protector it is not possible to exclude Incremental or Log backups. This is often required for users that want to create end of week/month/year copies to tape. If Full, Incremental and Log backups share the same backup device, executed 24x7 or Fulls are performed staggered over a period of time there is no way to filter for Full backups only and omit irrelevant Incremental or Log backups.

This request is to implement a simple "Latest Full only" and "Full only" filter to CSM for Object Copy and Replication.

Existing Enhancement Requests:

QCCR2A51315: Enhancement to select only the latest full backup within selection filter for the object copy functionality
QCCR2A78150: ER to support backup type filter for object copies
QCCR2A33428: Need to select "last full backup" in the object copy configuration
QCCR2A54480: Add to Object Copy the ability to select a schedule type (FULL, INCR etc)

Reduce complexity for creating end of week/month/year backups. Allow the user to duplicate only relevant Full backups according to SLAs.

Hi ,,

Similar request was created days ago. Below you can see the QCC created by labs.

QCIM2A77436 ER to enable filter selection by backup type for object copies

QCCR2A78150 ER to support backup type filter for object copies

This is ER to create a filter switch, allowing to select objects/sessions by their backup type (full/diff/incr and etc.) when configuring a copy job
users to be able to select specific backup types to be copied.

Hi Toni,

This functionality was requested frequently over the past years. I've added "Existing Enhancement Requests" to my summary to make it clear that customers want this for a good reason.
