SUSE Linux update

Agent initial deployment can be done from command line. Agent update should be done using GUI or command line from cell manager.

Update using SW distribution tool is not availble at moment.

This can be addressed in a different way, through some scripting. The DP HP-UX/Linux installation script omnisetup.sh (https://docs.microfocus.com/itom/Data_Protector:10.04/Use/cli_reference/1m/omnisetup.sh) allows users to extract packet.Z files for clients using ‘-extractpacket’. These files are packages that internally contain RPMs in case of Linux packages, which can then be copied to target systems and fed into native installation tools. It shouldn’t take more than a day or two to derive a solution based on this for someone familiar with scripting.
