Backup Job Details Collection

Hi Friends,

I would like to know is there any command or procedure, how to collect the backup job details, like, i want in output, each backup specicication name and respective backup selections, target drive,pool, schedule and retention.

It would be great if anybody has any script to capture the same.

No, there is no command to collect those information directly. Backup spec details are stored in ASCII files on the CS. You could use Perl to work on those files for reporting purposes. You could play around with omnicellinfo. omnicellinfo -dlobj for example includes some of the information you might be looking for.

You could create a report in Data Protector...

There are a lot of reports that could get you what you want.  It won't be one single report, but you can create multiple ones...

Just a few to consider:

- Trees in Backup Specifications

- List of Sessions

- Session Specification Schedule

- Session Media Report
