CBT Issue with DP 8.1
Hey guys, I seem to be experiencing an issue where the CBT databases are constantly going corrupt forcing me to have to frequently reset them. Current system is DP 8.1, vCenter 5.5, and ESXi 5.0 update 2. Anyone else experiencing this? Anyone experiencing this find a fix?
Here are the session errors:

This looks like it may be a known problem
It looks like this fix was implemented in the 8.11 patch bundle
Change Request: QCCR2A51456
The Data Protector backup session fails with the following error message:
|Critical| From: VEPALIB_VMWARE@hostname "" Time: <Date> <Time>
Backup failed because unable to utilize CBT as it was required.
|Major| From: VEPALIB_VMWARE@hostname "" Time: <Date> <Time>
|172:162| Virtual Machine "": No disk backed up...
Error: Backup failed because unable to utilize CBT as it
was required.
The 8.11 patch bundle has been superseded by 8.12, and can be downloaded from:

If you can only access the 8.11 patch bundle, go ahead and grab that (this is where the problem was reported as fixed anyway)

According to what you are saying though, the CBT issue should have been fixed in this version, yet I am still getting it. Or did I misinterpret what you are saying?

Not at all... from what I read in the lab case, this fix was supposed to be included in the DP 8.11 release.
Please check the patch level on your vCenter machine to be sure that it was updated to the 8.11 patch bundle. You should see, among the other patches
DPWIN_00676(BDL811) Virtual Environment Integration
If you don't see this, in the Client context, right-click on the vCenter machine and pick Upgrade. If you do see it, you need to get a case open with the response center, referencing QCCR2A51456
Sometimes, fixes don't always make it inot a patch, although I saw this one in the Patch Decription, and sometimes, they just don't work

Info on VM in order to support CBT
VM hdw version is 7 min.
Also your VMs are 7 or higher version then you can workaround this by selecting "Use fallback option" for CBT or you can upgrade to 8.12 where this issue should be gone.
