DP Services Owner

Jump to solution

Hello,
I've been given a checklist by support for an upgrade this weekend and one of the items is:
Make sure that the user that performs the upgrade is the Data Protector Services “owner” (their quotes).

I've left it a bit late to get clarification from support so does anyone here know what this is referring to please?

Hello @Les Crisps,

This is for Windows Cell Managers only. Check which user account is running the Data Protector services in services.msc. This should be the PGOSUSER found in %DP_SDATA_DIR%OmniBack\Config\Server\idb\idb.config.
