Re: DP unable to connect Linux nodes

Maybe disk space is full. You could also check that port 5555 is listening.

Re: DP unable to connect Linux nodes

Hi

Port 5555 is listening, nslookup b/w them is fine(ip & hostname). Disk space is also fine.
Any other reason to check?

Re: DP unable to connect Linux nodes

If 5555 returns the Data Protector version xinetd is not the issue. Are regular disk agent backups work as expected or do they fail as your Oracle Backups? Are you able to browse the client from GUI when creating a new file system backup spec? Are there any changes in the environment as OS or Oracle upgrades to the client?

Check the agent logs in /var/opt/omni as well as the Linux syslog for suspicious events.

Regards,

Sebastian
