Thats all the error message you got?
there should be more...

Check the debug.log and Oracle8.log on both the client machine and the cell server to have more information.

Hi Vinod,

Check the sbtio.log in Oracle udump directory.

What you see in the RMAN Error message stack?

Is Oracle 9i is a cluster package?
At oracle metalink, there is a mention of this error if the DB is part of cluster and HP has provided a workaround for it.
You might want need to log a s/w call with HP.

No. You have to buy the full version of DP to use media manager.

Hi,

It verifies integration with Oracle again.

util_oracle8.exe -CHKCONF

The result must be 0.
