Data Protector 6.0 - How to license BA153BAE

Jump to solution
Hello,

we did a new installation of Data Protector 6.0 on Windows Server 2003 in a SAN (EVA4000, MSL4048, Windows Server, VMWare Server). We had no problems in adding the needed licenses. But:
I cannot install the license for BA153BAE - any, HP Data Prot opn File Bkup 10-Srvrs ELTU.

Data Protector does not accept the password and is telling us, that the key is wrong. In fact it has a total different format than the codes for the other licenses.

Any idea?

Hello Karsten,

you have to install Open File Agent on these servers which you want to protect. There you have to install the licence number. The installation isn't a push installation from DP. You have to install the software local from Open File CD/DVD.
