Hello,
could you give more details what exactly do you need? SAN ports? Number of tape drives?

The question is about TCP/IP ports.

Look for the description of the OB2PORTRANGE / OB2PORTRANGESPEC parameters in the Data Protector documentation / online help (should be under firewall support).

PROBLEM

cannot connect to Media Agent on system "Server Name" . port 59396 (IPC Cannot Connect ) => aborting.
Aborting Disk Agent for "client server name":/home

Resolution

rename the .omnirc.TMPL to .omnirc
Locations of omnirc

â ¢ /opt/omni/.omnirc on HP-UX and Solaris clients
â ¢ /usr/omni/.omnirc on other UNIX clients
â ¢ \omnirc on Windows clients
â ¢ sys:\usr\omni\omnirc on Novell NetWare clients

To use a specific option, uncomment the line (remove the '#'
character) and edit the value if necessary.

Modify OB2PORTRANGE=61835-61855
And same ports range is open from firewall too.

Set the permissions to 644 manually.

Restart the DP services
