Re: Data Protector INET Service - Howto change to name local User

Hello @Stefan Wusowski

Yes you can change it. Just need to make sure that user you will use is completely admin in the server and have full access to ProgramData\Omniback, Program Files\Omniback and all the folders you backup from that server.

To change it, open the Services with services.msc, go to Data Protector Inet and open the properties for that service. Then, change it:

After add the credentials, save it and restart the service. That is enough.

Re: Data Protector INET Service - Howto change to name local User

Hello @Stefan Wusowski,

It is as simple as described by @Victor_F_DP while you might see some side effects if you do this on a Windows Cell Manager. Make sure that the service account used for INET (on the Cell Manager) has Impersonate a client after authentication and Replace a process level token rights before changing and restarting the service.
