Data Protector - successful backup?

Hi,

I am running DP and logs are sent via email to me.  Is this considered a successful  backup?

Single Session Report

Cell Manager: system1
Creation Date: 04/08/13 05:19:00

Session Information

Specification: system1_Offline_Backup
Session ID: 2013/04/07-8
Type: Backup
Session Owner: root.sys@system1
Status: Completed/Failures
Mode: full
Start Time: 04/07/13 23:30:01
Queuing: 0:00
Duration: 5:39
GB Written: 1760.74
# Media: 4
# Errors: 1
# Warnings: 18
Success: 97%

My reasoning is that it is successful as the "success" is 97%.  Is my assumption correct?

Thanks

ps-sorry if I have posted in the wrong section   I wasn't able to find a category on "Data Protector".

P.S. This thread has been moved from System Administration to Data Protector Support and News Forum. -HP Forum Moderator

Well it says: # Errors: 1

That doesn't look good.

I've asked the moderators to move it to here:

Re: Data Protector - successful backup?

Whether a backup is considered successful would depend on what the error was:

GB Written: 1760.74
# Media: 4
# Errors: 1              <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
# Warnings: 18

I suggest that you run the report

  omnirpt -report session_errors -timeframe  2013/04/13 23:00 2013/04/14 06:00 -datalist system1_Offline_Backup

to see what the error was, and

     omnidb -session 2013/04/07-8 -detail

to see if any Objects show as Failed
