DataProtector 10.03 VEPA Backup DA Timeout after 7200 sec

Hallo,

I have the problem that backup (DA) of VEPA VM Session timeout after 7200 on Linux Media Server.

    reached its inactivity timeout of 7200 seconds.
    The agent on host will be shutdown.

all activities are finished, devices closed, but the session don't end !

any idea ?

Hello

Do you have any firewall between cell and backup host? If session remain running until completed media agent message means that any process was aborted in the way or it was not able notify to BSM that was completed.

For to analyze why is happening you will need to collect debugs and open support case, meanwhile if you provide details like Vcenter version, list of DP patches installed also if you can share a whole backup session report will be fine even deleting server names.

Also you can check debug.log file from cell and backuo host looking for any message in the same timeframe.
