Exchange 2010 VSS backup with DP 6.11

Jump to solution
Dear All,
We have HP Data Protector 6.11 with exchange server 2010. There are 2 exchange servers in DAG with active/active mode.
Latest patches and required client setup/components are installed on the both exchange server. servers are not in cluster but are in DAG.
When we try to add backup using physical client system it shows properly on both exchange server but, when we try to add backup using DAG virtual node it shows only filesystem C: & D: drives.
I am able to take backup using physical system name but need backup using DAG virtual IP. Using this backup will not fail even if any server fails.
DP Cell Manager is not in domain & another all systems are in Domain.
Both exchange servers and virtual node can ping using FQDN also able to take RDP of the server using FQDN hostname.
Please help to resolve this.

In DAG we cant configure backups using virtual node coz it is in database cluster not in OS cluster. so we need manually switch backup from active DB to passive DB.

Now it is closed.

You should try the Exchange 2010 integration available in DP 6.20 and later. This will make backup and restore in a DAG environment much more comfortable than doing VSS backups. The new integration is completely DAG aware.
