Failed to configured DB2 Integration Data Protector 9.09

Jump to solution

Hi All,

We are trying to configure DB2 online backup with OS version SLES 12 SP2.There is an error message when the Cell Manager is trying to enroll DB2 online backup of the Linux servers. The libc-2.22.so caused the dumped core error. This error doesn’t exist on the lower version of SLES OS (SLES 11 – SLES12 SP1) or the successfully enrolled servers. Please help what could be the work around on this.

See the error below:

 kernel: [16706928.404347] util_db2[20516]: segfault a    t 0 ip 00007ff43df511ea sp 00007ffef66c2288 error 4 in libc-2.22.so[7ff43ded0000+19a000]2019-03-29T15:40:40.192421+08:00 URPHPP5 systemd-coredump[20517]: Process 20516 (util_db2) of user 0 dumped core.

Hello @Voytek

Confirm that your DB2 and OS is under the support list.

I think DB2 is not supported in SLES 12 (just in for SAP Applications) and DB2 10.5.

Hi @Miche_dp,

Is this a new or an upgraded server running SLES12 SP2? Can you share relevant entries from.debug.log and the output of the command ldd /opt/omni/bin/util_db2 and ldd /opt/omni/lbin/util_db2 (I'm just not sure where the command resides?

Regards,
Sebastian Koehler

Thank You @Victor_F_DP , You are right.

It seem that this setup is not supported.
