Is it possible to update version 9.09 to 10.70?

Jump to solution

Hello friends,
Tomorrow I will update my version 9.09 of Cell Manager to version 10.70.

Do I need to install any version before 10.70 or can I go straight to it?

After the update, will my clients with version 9.09 communicate or should I also update them right after the cell manager?

Are there any points of attention that I should take in this update?

Thank you.

Hello @MFranca86

  • Yes, you can upgrade from DP 9.09 to DP 10.70. Just make sure you follow the steps in the documentation. Don't need to apply any other version before.
  • The clients remaining in DP 9 can be used. This because DP adds an exception for all the clients in the older version during the upgrade.
  • Recommendations: follow the documentation, make an IDB backup before the upgrade. If you have a VM, take a snapshot before the upgrade.

Great news!
Will my schedules remain as in version 9.09? in the past I installed version 10.10 but lost all schedules.

Thank you.

Hi @MFranca86

Since upgrades to DP 10.20, and of course, DP 10.70, the schedules you have in the Schedule tab for the backup (Legacy Scheduler) remains there. They are not upgraded to Web Scheduler.

Only if you have schedules in the DP 9 Advanced Scheduler, those are upgraded to Web Scheduler.
