Re: MSG Erro Omniback II 3.1 with SAP/R3

You should install the SAP agents on the client before testing the backup.
The whole procedure to do SAP backups is as follows.
1.Install the SAP agent on the client.
2.edit initSID.sap file under $ORACLE_HOME/dbs as follows:
backup_dev_type = util_file (By default, this is tape)
3.If your brtools (brarchive, brbackup, brrestore, sapdba, brconnect)[these would normally be under /usr/sap//SYS/exe/run] are with the owner sidadm:sapsys the permissions should be 4755
4.execute /opt/omni/lbin/util_sap.exe -CONFIG <$ORACLE_HOME> system/ ...
When you execute this the SAP integration from omniback will be checked. softlink of /opt/omni/lbin/backint will be made in the directory where your brtools are. (SAP utilities expect backint in their local direcotry.)
If you get a return code '0', your integration is successful.
5.Create user in omniback
e.g. ora, dba
adm, sapsys
6.Go to backup, new -->SAP backup--->specify the host (SAP client) the device etc.
7. File -----> Change Ownership ----> User: adm, Group : sapsys (Use adm if your brbackup is with the ownership adm:sapsys) , hostname....(SAP client again)...
8. Save and try to run the backup.
Hope this helps.
Let me know if you still have problems.

Thanks,
Phani
