Migrate Cell Manager lincenses

Jump to solution
Hello

Is it possible just to migrate licenses from HP-UX Cell Manager to new Windows Cell Manger without adition intervention.
It will be with same IP address and I will delete lic.dat file from HP-UX Cell Manager and put to Windows Cell Manager.

It'll be fine. Any UNIX licenses also work for the Windows side. If the IP is the same, then you don't need to migrate the passwords to the new IP through HP Licensing.

The reason we have separate UNIX and Windows licenses is for different price points.

Thanks,
Scott

Hi Dusan,

Copying the license numbers to the new Cell Manager won't work. The licenses are IP and platform specific.

If you own the licenses, go to webware.hp.com and Migrate the licenses. (Only takes 5 minutes)
