On Tape, schedule automatically.

Hi There,

I have a tape library with two tape drives for writing at a time and 48 slots.

If I schedule back to seven different Tapes (Monday – Sunday), it is writing on the first tape only.

Actually, the tape writes on the first tape and it is not changing as per the date schedules (On Monday, it should write on Monday (Date) and Tuesday, it should write on Tuesday’s Tape and not on Monday’s tape which happening now.

This is normal? I am new in this area.

Please advise,

This is normal, this is becouse the drives are using the same pool, DP will use the same tape of a pool until it get full, this is also depending in how you had configured your pool, configure differents jobs for each week day using differents drives, those drives must be set to use differents pools.

Get familiar with the software before trying that yourself.

This is normal, this is becouse the drives are using the same pool, DP will use the same tape of a pool until it get full, this is also depending in how you had configured your pool, configure differents jobs for each week day using differents drives, those drives must be set to use differents pools.
