Oracle 19c export utility fails

Jump to solution

Hi, we are getting the following error:

ORA-39126: Unerwarteter schwerwiegender Fehler für Worker in KUPW$WORKER.CREATE_OBJECT_ROWS [PACKAGE_BODY]

 ORA-39155: Fehler beim Erweitern von Dumpdateiname "/var/opt/omni/tmp/rcvcat9084.exp"

ORA-48128: Öffnen eines symbolischen Links ist nicht zulässig

Oracle is now sensitive about symlinks, and yes, /var/opt/omni/tmp contains a link and can't be changed.

Is there a Variable for the export utility to place the dump to a different directory?

BR Josef

Hello @Joe Watzko

If I am not wrong, this one should work:

# OB2CATPATH=<Directory Path>
# Default: <DataDir>\tmp
# Specify the location where the recovery catalog database will be
# exported/imported during backup/restore of the catalog database. In RAC
# environment, for Oracle 11.2.0.2 or subsequent versions, the specified
# OB2CATPATH variable should point to a location on a shared storage.

Just add it to the ./omnirc file in the client and restart the xinetd.
OB2CATPATH=/new/location/folder
