Problem with MSL6000 with DLT400 GB drive

I have that same problem with MSL6000 with DLT400 GB drive with operating system open VMS

but the cell manager in windows 2003 server

Have you checked the frontpanel of the MSL6000 for possible errors. Have seen such cases when the library had firmware or mechanical issues.

Hello  Ashrafsabry  I would check for two things.
1. Has there been a tape inserted into the slot that the tape in the drive came from? This may have happened if you manually load the magazine while a back up is in process. 
2. Can you use the front panel of the MSL6000 to eject the tape to the mail slot?
If 1 is true, perform 2 to eject the tape and use the GUI to scan the slots and then "enter" the tape into an available slot.
