Restore from LTO4 using LTO6

Jump to solution

Hi Everyone,

I'm trying restore a data from a LTO-4 cartridge using a LTO-6 drive, but DP shows the message below:

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

[Normal] From: RSM@MyServer.MyDomain.com.br "" Time: 21/06/2017 09:58:01

Restore session 2017/06/21-111 started.

[Critical] From: RSM@MyServer.MyDomain.com.br "" Time: 21/06/2017 09:58:01

[62:1001] Specified device for the object not found.

[Critical] From: RSM@MyServer.MyDomain.com.br"" Time: 21/06/2017 09:58:01

Expecting new option when parsing string "LTO04".

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Note: This LTO-4 cartridge had his data copied from a SDLT cartridge in the past using DP-6.11 and never was used.

Currently, I'm using DP-9.08.

Can anyone help-me ???

Thanks TommyB.

I think that my case is diferent, cause the catalog into the LTO4 cartridge was copied from a SLDT cartridge in the past and the SDLT libray was deleted too. So, maybe, there are some references from SDLT drive in the backup catalog in LTO4 cartridge. I imagine that this is possible!

But Thanks for your help.

Antaln,

I had tried from diferents ways; with and without forced device. But really its not worked. ( I just tried from "Restore by Query )

Now, I solve the problem executing "omnidbutil -changebdev LTO04 LTO06", without specify the -session parameter.

Thank you for your help.
