SAP DB2 on Suse Linux with Data Protector integration

We are trying to  integrate HP Data Protector with our SAP implementation with the DB2 database on Suse Linux.

In our old environment we used the SAP TCODE DB13 to do the backups without Data Protector.

If any one has any tips on the best way to go about this it would be appreciated.

Re: SAP DB2 on Suse Linux with Data Protector integration

The first this to do is to check to see if your version fo DB2 and your version of SuSE Linux are supported. You did not specify the version of DP, so, I can't be really specific, but the support amtrices are at this URL

If you have a supported configuration, open your GUI< click on Help -> Guides, and find "Integration Guide for IBM Applications", and review Chapter 2

You are going to require an additional OnLIne extension license if you want to use the Integration to backup DB2
