Re: Script for HPDP

Hello brits,

I don't have any script created but according that you want I can suggest you to see the structure of the backups and maybe create that scripts needed.

  • Filesystem backups: ProgramData\OmniBack\Config\Server\Datalists or /etc/opt/omni/server/datalists
  • Integration backups: ProgramData\OmniBack\Config\Server\BarLists or /etc/opt/omni/server/barlists
  • Copy Jobs: ProgramData\OmniBack\Config\Server\copylists or /etc/opt/omni/server/copylists

About installation, you can use the command ob2install command, please refer to CLIReference under this command.

This really depends on your specific use case, but maybe I can guide you into the right direction. There are a few commands available that you can use or integrate into your scripts. For clients deployment a few customers include a installed Disk Agent in their server templates (not imported to a Cell yet) to make import, upgrade smooth after deployment. There is also a new feature coming up in Data Protector 10.03 that allows package extraction from Installation Server and push of omnirc options across the Cell.

omnicreatedl - creates a filesystem backup specification file

omniwl.pl - bulk modification of filesystem backup specifications

ob2install - runs installation, removal, upgrade, or installation check (Linux/UNIX Installation server)
