Source Side deduplication for SAP R/3 Application using StoreOnce Software Catalyst Store
I tested StoreOnce Software Catalyst Store with SAP R/3 integration. Server Side and Target Side deduplication is working fine, but Source Side deduplication can not start.
After starting backup session a receive message: There are no available connections on store 'D2D_Soft' (through gateway 'D2D_Soft_Source_side').
I built a similar scheme using StoreOnce VSA - Source Side deduplication for SAP R/3 Application is working.
Source Side deduplication with DP StoreOnce Software Catalyst Store for SAP R/3 client working or not in Data Protector (any release)?
Anyone tried it like that?
I would need to know what version of Data Protector that you are running
I found a similiar, but not identical issue in a lab case:
[Warning] From: BSM@[deleted]">BSM@[deleted] "XYZ_SQL_PROD" Time: 11/11/2013 2:15:20 PM
Got error: "Store does not exist." when contacting "XYZDS01" B2D device!
[Warning] From: BSM@[deleted]">BSM@[deleted] "XYZ_SQL_PROD" Time: 11/11/2013 2:15:21 PM
There are no available connections on store 'XYZDS01' (through gateway 'XYZDS01_ss').
The CM was upgraded to patch bundle 703 to resolve several issues.
Now most backups fail to connect to their respective SW deduplication store
my environment is DP 7.03
Cell Manager - hp-ux 11iv3
Catalyst Store Server - Windows Server 2008 R2
Client for SourceSide Dedup - Windows Server 2008 R2.
I try to perform SSD for FileSystem Backup - running (debug.log)

Can you help me?
It looks like this is your problem
"no devices on gateway"
I looked at lab cases, and found this:
Bob, I performed all the recommendations, but still the application does not work.
For a complete understanding of the situation - i have SOS Catalyst Store on the Windows 2008 R2 x64 Server (server1), SAP R/3 application on the Windows 2008 R2 x64 Server (server2) and Cell Manager on the HP-UX 11iv3 Server (SM).
At first time I created filesystem backup from Server2 to Server1 using SourceSide Gateway - working. This suggests compatibility of DP agents?
Then i created backup for SAP R/3 application from Server2 to Server1 using TargetSide Gateway - working, then i just change in specification type of Gateway - from TargetSide to SourceSide - received a message "no devices on gateway". Why I did not get such a message when the backup file system using SourceSide deduplication? Somewhere something not converges.
May be a best way is open a call in HP Software Support?
I think that opening a support case is probably the way to go now. In my opinion, this is best done from the URL
and click on "Submit a new Service Request"
