Syntax error in device PARMS - unknown keyword or missing =

Jump to solution

Hello,

I have encountered the issue documented in this knowledge post, but the solution here is for Windows, but I am using an HPUX cell server. Can someone please tell me what the HPUX equivalent of this command is?

3. Now add the SBT_LIBRARY variable to the Data Protector oracle configuration file via command :

             C:\>util_cmd -putopt Oracle8 <SID> SBT_LIBRARY c:\orasbt.dll -local "C:\ProgramData\OmniBack\Config\Server\Integ\Config\Oracle8\hostname.domain.suffix%SID"

Be sure to replace "SID" with the instance that is being configured and also replace "hostname.domain.suffix" with the FQDN of the Oracle client.

Hello @daniellestar

To convert this you just need to change the paths to the correct.

From: C:\>util_cmd -putopt Oracle8 <SID> SBT_LIBRARY c:\orasbt.dll -local "C:\ProgramData\OmniBack\Config\Server\Integ\Config\Oracle8\hostname.domain.suffix%SID"

To: /opt/omni/lbin/util_cmd -putout Oracle8 <SID> SBT_LIBRARY /path/orasbt.so -local "/etc/opt/omni/server/integ/config/Oracle8/hostname.domain.suffix%SID"
