Tape export and import

Jump to solution

We have backed up data from one locatin and sent it to other location.

there i imported it , but idb was full , fnames.dat got full.

But tape was successfully imported , but we got following messages ;

Data Protector foreign medium "7220200a:552bb0db:2ba8:0001" found.

[Critical] From: MSM@eodserver "Drive1" Time: 5/7/2015 4:48:39 PM
[65:6] Internal Database layer reports:
"[12:1168] There is no more space in the Internal Database for filenames."

Can i just export and import it back again ? Because i want each and every filename in restore session history which wil make my job easy to restore dta from it .

Hi,

that's right. You need to recylce it first followed by the export and the remaining actions I wrote.

Best regards

Hi,

yes, export the media...

Before importing the media again, extend your fnames first using command (example): omnidbutil -extendfnames "D:\ProgramData\OmniBack\db40\datafiles\cdb" -maxsize 2047

You can expand IDB via GUI too - goto Internal Database --> Usage. Check which values to extend and extend.

Best regards
