Hello @Yaseen

There are some considerations in the way you configure the backup. Take a look of these:

Cluster Shared Volumes (CSV)

  • Backup sessions that try to back up virtual machines from the same CSV cannot run in parallel. If two sessions are started, the second one fails.

Windows Server 2012 systems: Virtual machines that are not on a CSV must be backed up in separate sessions, otherwise the session fails. If any part of the virtual machine, such as configuration or snapshot files are outside the CSV, the session will fail.

Thank for your reply

actually that vm is on CSV

I tried to troubleshooting that issue, when I uncheck

Under Integration Services, uncheck the Backup (volume checkpoint) and Apply the Settings. backup run wit out any issue

but when returning to its original state once again same problem comes  result backup fails.

Hello @Yaseen,

What operating system and applications run in the VMs? Are the Integration Services up-to-date and running? Any issues found in the Application and System event log of the VM (in case they are Windows-based)?

Hello @Yaseen,

Thanks for sharing. I was not aware this option also applies to Hyper-V backups. So in the end we all learned something.
