Upgrade DP 10.30 to DP 10.70

Hi I have a concern reading several posts form other users in forum that upgrade from 10.x to DP 10.70 has not been straight forward.

In my case i have a CM in DP 10.30 running in a Linux service guard environment so question is what steps do  have to take in consideration to lead a succesfull upgrade

Clients in DP 1030 will keep on running or i have to regenerate certificates?

What happen with IDB see there are 2 hotfixes :

DP1070_b210_OCTCR19Q857392_HF1_Readdb_Failure and

DO i need to apply them or not?

Best Regards

Hello @Diego Biondo

The main suggestion we can do is make sure your IDB is in good status and take a snapshot for the CM (if is a VM). Or take an IDB backup before the upgrade.

In all the cases, following the guide is the way to know that all will be good: https://docs.microfocus.com/itom/Data_Protector:2020.05/UpgradeDPServers#Upgrade_Cell_Manager

The fixes you mentioned are for readdb and IDB restore failures. The readdb is only for Windows, and the other is for all, but only if you want to do an IDB restore again and again, in a repeated way.
