VM Restore and Live Migrate

Jump to solution

I am trying to restore a VM to a new machine, leaving the existing VM up and running.  Will Live Migrate allow me to do that?  What steps should I take to accomplish this; leave the existing VM unaffected?  I'm on DP 10.50 on a Windows CM.

Hello

Yes that is possible, in fact if you execute live migrate new VM will be created automatically, for to use thi sfeature you need to use as target device CACHE MODE, you can see all details into onlien documentation.

Please check Power On and Live Migration section.
