Windows 2003 Cell Manager, Data Protector 6.10 and Exchange 2010

Jump to solution
Hi
I have a cell manager (Data Protector 6.10)running in a windows 2003.
Also a exchange 2010 in cluster ( the OS for exchange are windows 2008).

Is supported this configuration with the scenario described before?

I am trying to find out for compatibility of data protector 6.10.

Backup of Exchange 2010 using DP is only supported with volume shadow copy?

I have some red hat linux with Database oracle that are integrated and working in right way.

Hi,

You should upgrade to DP 6.11 where Windows 2008 and Exchange 2010 are supported. This combination is not supported by DP 6.0:

Backup of Exchange 2010 is uspported only with VSS (volume shadow copy service).

Hi,

I just noticed that you are running DP 6.10. You should upgrade to 6.11 since this version is replacing DP 6.10.

So exchange 2010 is not supported for data protector 6.10.

If not
then I will have to do some more labor cause I have a lot of integration with oracle.
