Hello @tidi

I am glad to know that import worked with this client.

About your question of the DB, Data Protector (on CM and RS) uses PostgreSQL. You don't need to mount any DB, in the installation PostgreSQL is installed and mounted.

If you do not have any other question about this installation, please consider to mark the thread as solved.

Hello @tidi

Try to add the information of the client into the hosts file in the Installation Server. And the information of the Installation Server into the client's hosts file. Using this format:

IP          FQDN          ShortName

Then try again the installation.

Do you have any firewall on the environment?

It's possible for you to install locally and then import the client?

What DP version do you have?

Yes. But for the test both of the CM and the client firewall are turned off still.
The version is A.10.30.
"nslookup " can be running successfully in the CM and client.

Furthermor, the reporting server and the IDB all need sql server? Can SQL Server 2017 Express version be used for them?
