bare metal recovery fails with error you do not have permission to restore other hosts

HI team,

While doing bare metal recovery i face issue . I went for default as well Minimal recovery both time ended up with same error. Please help on this.Thanks in advance!!!

 

1. verified communication to media server as well cell manager from bare metal recovery console

2. We are performing recovery to same host

Error:

32:23 you do have  permission to perform restore to other hosts

then switches to offline recovery

RMA host localhost.localadmin is not responding 

switching local restore

No supported local drives are found

Hello @Dinesh17, 

I do not have what version of DP you have, so I add both. 

  • DP 9.x: Go to ProgramData\OmniBack\Config\Server\users or /etc/opt/omni/server/users and open the userlist file. Add this line: 
    "*" "*" "*" * "admin"
  • DP 10.x: Run this command: omniusers -add -type W -usergroup admin -name * -group * -client * -pass DataProtector.1 

Then retry the DR.

We use DP 10.2 version
