Hello,

If you use BIOS, then the recovery.iso is not read, if you set the firmware boot option to be EFI instead of BIOS, you will boot from the recovery.iso with no issues.

Re: can anyone help me to solve this problem during EADR

@Yaseen

What version of Data Protector are you running?

If running 9.x are you using ECC?

 - If yes, did you added the Client to the Exception Security list?

 - If yes, did you added the Media Agent to the Exception Security list?

Was the client using DHCP? or Static IP?

During the recovery can you open a command line and see if the client can reach the Cell Manager / Media Agent host?

Thank you,

Best Regards

Re: can anyone help me to solve this problem during EADR

Hello

You must keep in mind important topic for DR. During EADR boot if you select "USe original network setting" DR will be done using the same name and IP address used during backupm if you dont check this option will need to configure IP address mnanually if DHCP is not reachable.

Optionally, to modify the recovery settings, click Settings to open the Recovery settings page.

The following additional recovery options are available, some of them are used in cases where the disaster recovery does not finish completely or requires additional steps:

Use original network settings: Select this option if you need to restore the original network configuration (for example, due to a missing DHCP server). By default, this option is not selected and the DR OS recovery environment uses a DHCP network configuration.

If you are using DHCP cell manager must be able to resolve DR name (in your case minit-ks3djrg) and viceversa.

ALSO AND THE MOST IMPORTANT you need configure secure comunnicaiton before execute DR

  1. Before performing a disaster recovery of a client, run the following command on the Cell Manager for an online recovery, and on the media hosts for an offline recovery:

    omnicc –secure_comm –configure_for_dr <hostname_of_client_being_recovered> -overwrite

  2. Post online recovery of a client, run the following command on the Cell Manager:

    omnicc –secure_comm –configure_peer <client_host_name>

Re: can anyone help me to solve this problem during EADR

Hi

If you upgraded from previous version DP9 or 8 use port 5555, if this is a fresh installation use port 5565.

Do you have any firewall between client and cell? Have you try disable firewall?

Otherwise you will need to open support case for collect debugs and analyze it.

Re: can anyone help me to solve this problem during EADR

Hello

I understand that you are running both omnicc command before EADR That is right?

That is wrong you must execute omnicc -secure_comm -configure_for_dr <host name> before EADR. After EADR finish you must execute omnicc -secure _comm -configure_peer <client name> -overwrite.

Otherwise second command is overwritten first commnan configuration.
