incremental jobs running as full

I have just finished setting up all my backup jobs in a new installation.  In reviewing my backup jobs, I am finding that my incremental jobs are runing as a full.  Also, how can I change the timeout period while waiting for a tape drive to become available?

Re: incremental jobs running as full

DP version?

Normal FileSystem backup or any other integration used?

I think, You can change global variable SmWaitForFirstBackupClient. {In internalDatabase view}.

Re: incremental jobs running as full

I use SmWaitForDevice=180 to change the timeout from 60 minutes to 180.  This is in the global file on the Cell Manager.

If an Incremental backup cannot find an equivalent Full then it will change to be a full backup.  It must have the same owner as the incemental.

Jeremy,

I saw that entry and changed the default from 90 to 180 minutes.

Thanks..
