Hello @mtduran

First of all, if you added the variables to omnirc.tmpl this will not take effect. You need to create a new file or rename the current one to be just omnirc

There the variables can be added and will take effect after an Inet restart.

To check if a variable is in place I commonly check the debugs searching for the variable we added.

Hello @Victor_F_DP

You are right,

I generated to omnirc file, and i put it variables inside to file. I restart to services.

Actually this is the my backup server.

For testing to omnirc i put inside to parameter "OB2DBG=1-500 log.txt"

I could not get any result when job started.

Hi @mtduran,

Please also have a look at the information found on https://www.data-protector.org/wordpress/2018/04/effectively-manage-omnirc-options/. This also works with the Cell Manager.

You should have some OB2DBG*log.txt inside ProgramData\Omniback\tmp folder. If so, the variable is applied.

Hello @mtduran,

The file C:\ProgramData\OmniBack\omnirc.tmpl is just the template for the currently installed version. You need to copy it to C:\ProgramData\OmniBack\omnirc and make modifications there.

Additions and changes will be picked up immediately. If you comment or remove something make sure to restart the Data Protector services on the system.

Hello @mtduran,

Your file still has the file extension .tmpl which is not working. Make sure that Windows Explorer will show file extensions or use a Command Prompt to validate the content of the directory.

No extension. Just omnirc without .tmpl

Copy the existing omnirc.tmpl in a new file with name omnirc (with no extension).

Kind regards,
