verify cell manager for bakcup host

Hi Team,

 

Please suggest a command to verify cell manager for backup host.

Hello @connection

You should check that CM has access to the VMware vSphere. If so, you can install VEPA component and be able to use it as backup host.

We request to restore the SQL DB and before restoring the database we must ensure whether the DB server and restore server are in same cell manager. Need command to verify the same.

Please help

You can check cellserver key or file: 

Windows: Regedit > HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Hewlett-Packard\OpenView\OmniBackII\site\Cellserver   
Linux: /etc/opt/omni/client/cell_server

That key/file have the name of the cell manager who owns the client.
