Visual Studio Crashes During A Platform Change

Visual Studio Crashes During A Platform Change

A user may attempt to switch from a 32 bit target platform to a 64 bit target platform, experiencing a crash during the process of the intellisense rescan. This is currently a known issue for users of Visual Studio 2010 who are migrating from older releases of DevPartner.

Other known symptoms:

- The inability to load certain project types
- Instrumentation errors
- IDE UI-interactions in VS2010 that do not occur when version of DPS 11.1.x is not integrated or installed.

Remove all files with “V100” from the following directory: C:\Program Files (x86)\MSBuild\Microsoft.Cpp\v4.0\Platforms\x64\ImportBefore  and ensure that “MicroFocus.DevPartner.Cpp.X64.V100.Targets” is not present in the same directory.

If either file type is present please delete all of these legacy files.
