[Migrated content. Thread originally posted on 11 November 2011]

I am getting the following error "fatal error C1047: The object or library file 'D:\PROGRA~1\COMMON~1\MICROF~1\NMShared\CTI\10.0\\bcinterf_x86.lib' was created with an older compiler than other objects; rebuild old objects and libraries" while enabling error detection in visual studio 2008 win xp sp3.Can anyone figure out what is the actual problem.

Thanks

There was an issue with the GA release of 10.0 where we had linked the interface libs with /LTCG. The libraries were built in vs2005 to support the lowest compiler version in the 10.0 support chain. This causes an issue when building with /LTCG in a newer compiler. This was fixed and is available as a patch. You can get the patch by logging into Support Line or contacting tech support.
